Sonshine Ranch offers a very popular year-round holiday programme.

All our holiday camps have an element of Christian teaching. During a day camp, this is run for a short time after lunch and each evening during overnight camps. It is the foundation of Sonshine Ranch and gives people an insight into why we are so unique. All campers are asked to participate.

Due to our Ranch Camps filling up very quickly, we only allow campers to attend ONE overnight camp per holiday period.

Applications for our Spring holiday camps are now LIVE.

Adventure Camp

Our Adventure Camp is a new style of camp we are offering to boys.

This camp has been created to open the doors for more children to enjoy camp without the main focus of horse riding.

Over the course of the three nights and four days,  we offer a variety of outdoor games, activities and team building challenges. This camp is a great opportunity to try new experiences, step out of your comfort zone and make new friends.

All holiday camps have an element of Christian teaching. This is run each evening during our overnight camps.

Campers remain with their cabin group each day and are supervised and supported by their designated leaders. This helps create a bond between the cabin and encourage the development of new friendships.

Ranch Camps

This is our traditional horse camp for girls where campers spend three nights and four days at the ranch without any interruption from cell phones or the internet!

Campers are designated a horse to help learn the basics of riding or advance their riding skills through their daily group lesson. Campers ride once each day and during other times they participate in challenging, fun and adventurous outdoor activities that we have to offer. Campers remain with their cabin group each day and are supervised and supported by their designated leaders. This helps create a bond between the cabin and encourage the development of new friendships.

These camps are suitable for beginners to advanced riders. If you wish to bring your own horse to camp, please contact us to discuss this option.

Summer Riding Camp

Over the summer holidays the Ranch offers a riding camp for those who are at an intermediate or senior level of riding.

If you are unknown to camp staff, you may be required to come for an assessment ride to see if your riding level is suitable for the camp. Each application will be assessed individually to ensure the safety of all campers.

Summer Riding Camp is unique in that it is smaller than the other holidays camps.

Each camper is designated a horse for the entire camp which they ride in both morning and afternoon sessions. After a hot day of riding, the water-slide is often on offer to help campers cool down.

The rest of camp is similar to our other overnight camps, but the smaller group allows campers to build great friendships and build a strong connection with their horse.

All holiday camps have an element of Christian teaching. This is run each evening during our overnight camps.

Own A Pony Day

A unique programme run during the school holidays.

Own A Pony Days differ from our One Day Ranch Adventure Camp as we focus on learning aspects of owning a pony – from grooming to saddling, riding and caring. Own A Pony Day is for children aged 8 to 15 who one day dream of owning their own pony. Each camper is assigned a pony for the day to groom and saddle with help from our instructors and leaders.

Children ride twice – during morning and afternoon sessions – before ending the day with a trek around the farm. Lesson groups are based on their riding ability.

All holiday camps have an element of Christian teaching. This is run for a short time after lunch during our day camps.

There is a limit of 18 for the Own A Pony Day, so make sure you register today!
